Have you ever thought, “how cool would it be if I could just go online and look at a particular dogs pedigree?”
Well now, that option is available to you. Instahounds is the new digital database for hunting hound pedigrees.
A vision that was brought to life by people just like YOU! From socializing at hunts, conversations around the fire barrel, to the many questions on social media, we bring to you what you all asked for.
What we have organized in an effort to provide you with unlimited pedigrees is this:
Each year from Jan 1-November 30, all hounds with an active membership will be eligible to compete for leaderboard points. Beginning March 1, 2024 the only active leaderboard will be for any hunt titled “Puppy Hunt” and with an age restriction of 12 months and under. Hounds will only receive points for top ten performances. Multipliers will be used based on the number of hounds entered into the hunt and how many hours the hunt is ran. On November 30, the top 100 performing hounds will be invited to compete in the Championship Hunt. The age restriction will not apply to this hunt, but will only be for eligible participants. After the Championship Hunt and with the multipliers, points will be added to the yearly totals to determine your top performing puppy for the year.
An annual banquet will be held at the conclusion of the Championship Hunt which will be held in December. Dog food, Tracking collars, affiliation fees collected from hunts, field trial supplies, any other donated items and $5.00 from each yearly Instahounds membership will be used to award and recognize the top twenty performing puppies for the year.
Instahound “Memberships” are $15.00 per hound. Littermates can be added at $10.00 each as long as they have the same owner.
Kennels Registrations are $20.00 per year.
Hound name or Ownership transfers are $10.00 each.
Hunt affiliation fees are $25.00
Once a hound has purchased a yearly membership, that hound will remain in the database and be viewable forever. To compete for yearly leaderboard points, each hound must renew their memberships yearly. There is no cutoff date to renew, but points will not be counted if the membership is not renewed before the start of the hunt.
